The programme for the day is in two parts. The first part is the commisioning of the Winneba Open Digital Village. The second part is the OPEN CONTENT DAY -"Software Freedom Day".

Dignitaries expected to grace the occasion include; Nenyi Ghartey VII, Omanhene of Winneba, District Chief Executive-Ewutu Effutu Senya, Prof. J. Anamuah-Mensah, Vice Chancellor, UEW, Prof. Akwasi Asabre-Ameyaw, Pro-VC & incoming Vice Chancelor, UEW, Prof. Akpanglo-Nartey, CDI Project Head, Prof. S. Y.
