Welcome to SIMPA OPEN SUMMIT
The SIMPA OPEN SUMMITS are a series of capacity building sections - workshops, seminars, summits, mock camps, conferences, etc to be held in Winneba and often at the Winneba Open Digital Village (WODiV).
SIMPA is the indigenous name of the town often called Winneba which was culled from the name Windy Bay as the early settlers found the beaches very windy.
Simpa Open Summits will build capacity generally on ICTs for sustainable development, focusing on low cost technologies for the Africa Region. These will include.
1- All forms of Computer Networking - Cable and Wireless.
2- Open Source Software installation on both clients and server systems.
3- Application of Open Source in varied professional disciplines.
4- IT Security issues
5- Database driven websites etc...
The Simpa Open Summits series of events will encompass an open process with varied topics that will lead to the growth of individual, communities, organisations and or institutions.
